The selection of the field practice polygon, in the province of Villa Clara, Cuba

Abstract

The article answers the following question: How to select a polygon of field practice that allows performing the actions projected by the disciplines and academic years of the Bachelor of Education. This is part of the result of the research project entitled "The improvement of Environmental Education in the schools located in the Turquino Plan of Villa Clara", which takes place in the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas. Field practice is a way of organizing the teaching-learning process of Geography; for its development, a polygon that meets a set of conditions is necessary. The work proposes a methodology for the selection of the field practice polygon for the Bachelor of Education. Geography, which emerges as a result of the participatory action research process carried out in the Department of Natural Sciences of our University, where sixteen teachers take part; using methods and techniques related to this type of research, the methodology for the selection of the polygon of field practice emerges and the basic indispensable requirements for their selection and the features that distinguish a polygon of field practice are determined.
