Relationship between quality of work life and human resource empowerment with employees' efficiency in Ferdowsi University of Mashhad

Abstract

Organizational life and personal life are essential and connected to each other. Employees are the most important assets of an organization that play a pivotal role in organization. In the past, only the personal life of employees is emphasized, but today, improving the quality of life of employees has become one of the most important goals of the organization. The main purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the quality of work life and the improvement of human resources with the interest of Ferdowsi university employees in Mashhad. The method is descriptive - correlation and statistical population consisted of all of the employees of Ferdowsi University in Mashhad in the number of 417 whose sample size was calculated on the basis of the Cronbach formula which were selected using randomized-stratified random sampling method. Data were collected from three questionnaires: quality of work life (NIKOI), human resource improvement (researcher) and efficiency (ACHO). Their reliability was 0.87, 0.93 and 93.03 respectively; using Cronbach alpha is obtained. The collected data were analyzed using Pearson correlation, Spearman and multivariate regression using spss software. Findings show that there is a meaningful relationship between all dimensions of quality of work life and all dimensions of human resource improvement with the productivity of employees of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
