Abstract

The objective of this article of research is identify the significance about it dance Capoeira, the image body, the perception of the body and them changes perceived in it image body from the practice of Cali Nago capoeira group. To carry out this investigation used different instruments such as interviews, observations, focus group and social mapping, that he was allowed to answer the research question from the qualitative methodology and the postulates of the ethnographic method. Results found that the object of study group perceives that there have been physical changes in your body, changes on a personal level, in particular in the character with respect to greater commitment and responsibility in the activities. Also, is conceived the dance as enjoyment, game and enjoy that enables the interaction with the others by the respect, the fellowship and the learning mutual. The conclusions will refine that conception to the capoeira is a style that frames a ritual concept and not a sports practice; In addition to dance may be psychosocial therapy. It has a recreational sense and not a meaning of display, the fundamental thing is to interact with each other. Also, is perceived the body of way integrated, as himself and as part of her identity.
